Originating from the suburbs of Washington DC, with Frederick MD being home base, avant-garde, garage rock n’ rollers The Portside Chapel deliver their image driven storytelling, esoteric lyrics over a landscape of music that will keep you wondering what (the fuck) the next song will bring. The Portside Chapel’s blues, shanty, back alley, noir, influences blaze through the tracks on their upcoming first album, An Introduction to Cannibalism.
Jeremiah, Ryan, Quinn and Aiden of The Portside Chapel recently joined forces to bring the world songs that tear apart social constructs and engrained cultural beliefs, so as too cannibalize the blindly accepted beliefs of mankind and oneself. The Portside Chapel songs question and make fun of right and wrong, promote a nihilistic experience through a narrative of religious figures and folklore to break down the listener’s barriers of ideas they would usually reject if spoken plainly. Simply put, their music will eat you from the inside out.
